Relayo sits between you and the page. You only ever talk to us, and the site only ever talks to us. That gap is the whole point.

You type a search or paste a link. That request goes to Relayo and nowhere else.

We make the request from our end, read the answer, and rebuild the page so the rest of it keeps running through us.

The site

It answers Relayo. As far as it can tell, we are the visitor. Your address never reaches it.

Straight answers

Is this a VPN?: No. A VPN routes everything your device does. Relayo only handles the pages you open through it, straight from the browser, with nothing to install. If you want every app on your machine covered, you want a VPN. If you want to open a page a network is blocking, you want this.
Do you keep logs?: No. We do not store what you search, the sites you open, or the pages we fetch. We hold a page in memory only long enough to hand it to you, then it is gone. We cannot produce records we never kept.
Will every site work?: No, and we would rather say so up front. Sites that lean on heavy scripting, live video, or a login can misbehave, and plenty deliberately turn away traffic arriving through a proxy. Separately, there are things we block ourselves because the law says we have to. When a page will not load we tell you which of those it is rather than leaving you on a blank screen.
So you block things too?: Yes. Relayo is not a hole in the law. Adult and age restricted material is blocked through us under the Online Safety Act 2023, and anything illegal to access is blocked outright. We are here for the page your work filter ate, not for getting round rules that exist for a reason.
Can my network tell what I opened?: They can see that you connected to Relayo. They cannot see the site behind it or what was on the page, because that traffic runs between us and the site, not between you and the site.
Is it legal?: The tool is. What you do with it is on you. Relayo is for getting to pages you have every right to read but cannot reach. It is not cover for anything you would not do in the open. Our acceptable use rules spell out the lines.
Who runs it?: SYNK. We do not sell hosting to the public any more, but we still keep a handful of services running for people, and Relayo is one of them. It is looked after, not left to rot.
